As a newly designated WHO Collaborating Centre for Case Management, Training, and Research on Malaria, we are committed to strengthening WHO’s malaria elimination efforts, aligned with the Global Technical Strategy for Malaria 2016–2030 (GTS) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
To support these global goals, we are proud to host the 2nd Training on Essential Laboratory Diagnostic Tools for Malaria Elimination from 24-26 September 2025. This hands-on training will provide participants with practical skills and knowledge on laboratory diagnostic tools suitable for diverse settings, ranging from resource-limited environments to advanced facilities.
Topics will include malaria microscopy, rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs), fluorescent spot testing, G6PD testing for Plasmodium vivax treatment, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) techniques. The course will be led by esteemed experts from the Faculty of Tropical Medicine and Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health, with participants expected to include technical staff, public health personnel, doctors, and related professionals from around the world.
Upon completing this training, participants will be able to:
